What you are witnessing above is me typing up this exact email.
I’m typing on my computer, looking at a picture of myself typing on my computer, thinking about a joke I can make incorporating the movie Inception. Photoception?
Anyway…Do you notice the way I’m sitting? I’m “Box Sitting”
A simple hip stretch where one hip is in external rotation and the other is in internal rotation. You can flip the legs to the opposite side and the hips switch to stretch the opposite motion.
This is one of my all time favorite things to do whenever I’m sitting for some time. Especially late at night when I’m watching a little TV or catching up on some computer work.
Stretching your hips before bed is a great time to stretch them! Especially for treating low back morning stiffness
Finding time to stretch can be challenging. Stretching while doing something else, is a simple hack to kill two birds with one stone.
I find that stretching the hips before going to bed helps tremendously in alleviating any morning low back pain or stiffness the next morning.
If you get into a habit of stretching your hips before bed, even something as simple as box sitting, day after day, you start to loosen up the hips, alleviate low back pain in the morning, and generally move and live better.
Your best is yet to come!
