Stiff ankles aren’t helpful for anyone

Particularly for runners

Calf stretching is helpful but what if the problem isn’t actually the calf?

If you ANKLE joint itself is stiff, calf stretching won’t be enough

That’s why I love this simple ankle mobilization

How To:
1. Find a strong resistance band and a heavy object to anchor it to
2. With shoes off, wrap the other end of the resistance band to your ankle underneath your ankle bones
3. With feet pointed forwards in kind of a lunge position and your back heel down, gently bend your back knee
Form Tip: Make sure your bending knee tracks over your toes. Don’t let your knee angle inwards
4. Do this for about 2 minutes on the stiff ankle prior to running>> Watch instructional video here <<
Happy runnin
