How to Inspire Others

How to Inspire OthersThis past weekend I was working out at the YMCA in Evanston

I glanced over at the treadmills and saw a father and son running side-by-side

The son would periodically look up at his dad and the dad would smile back

Both of them running on their own treadmill; together.

It really got me thinking about how we as individuals can influence positive behavior change in others

I don’t know what the dad’s goal was for his workout that day

I don’t know if the son is training for a sport himself

All I know is that they were working out together

The father is probably in some regular routine of working out and the son was inspired to tag along

That’s how it goes

Those around us see us striving to become the best versions of ourselves

Reaching for goals

Putting in the work

Going to the gym

Going out for runs

They see us doing it and they get it in their mind that maybe they could do it too

This is what it means to lead from the front

In order to inspire positive change in others, we must first begin with ourselves

As we enter the offseason here in Chicagoland, I want to remind you that those around you are watching

Your friends, spouse, kids, parents, etc.

Don’t let your fitness slip away from you during these winter months

Define a goal for this off season

Keep grinding

If you got injured this past training season, maybe now would be a great time to rehab your injuries or work on preventing one for the next season

If that sounds like a good idea to you, schedule a discovery call with me here to learn how I can help

Just remember, others are watching…

Happy Runnin

Eddie is adored for his style of coaching and his ability to connect with his players on an individual level. During our conversation, we talk about the mental components of football and how that helps high schoolers.
